It can take a Village to Rescue a Dog!
Know the song lyrics?

You find out who you’re friends are
Somebody’s gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas get there fast
Never stop to think ‘what’s in it for me’ or ‘it’s way too far’
They just show on up with their big old heart
You find out who you’re friends are
— by Tracy Lawrence

I wanted to say that I do not live in a vacuum, and there are many people behind the scenes that are rescue angels for our dogs. Many people play a role in these rescues, from the neighbor who reports a chained or abandoned dog, to the person who circulates emails about them, to the person who drives by to feed them and check on them before they are rescued, to the transporters, the transport coordinator, the people lighting candles and saying prayers, the people offering to foster, the fosters, and anyone else they may meet along the way like shelter staff or these dog owners themselves who finally see the light and want to do right by their dogs….it’s a thankless job often, but everyone deserves “credit” at some point, no matter how much or how little they did because in saving lives, nothing is “little” !
