1-26-19 Poppy Blue comes into rescue as a shelter transfer from a Southern Michigan shelter.
She is a Senior girl who is a bit chubby, who seems to be have been cared for at some time.
She is friendly, knows how to beg, gets along with other dogs, and wants to be by you.
She walks GREAT on leash.
She needs to work on the wanting to be with you “all” of the time. She grudgingly crates over night, and keeps it clean.
However, if left alone in the house she will potty on the floor.
She asks to go outside, so that is good, so I think we are just working through some separation anxiety.
She has some eye ointment for an eye infection, as her eyes were very red and teary. She already looks better.
She has had a senior blood panel, where the vet suggests some liver support. Her levels were just a little high, yet not alarming.
The shelter said her age was 8-10. We have treated her for tapeworms seen in her stool.
2-21-19 Poppy Blue has a pending adoption.
